LYRICS:
I know I may seem pretty tough
It takes a lot to earn my trust
But you did
You were good
It was love
I don’t make lovers
Don’t make friends
Don’t have the patience for pretense
And for the first time in my life
I didn’t want this to end
But it did
Chorus:
Kiss me like you mean it
I want to hear you scream, yea
I got you by the eyes
Before I say goodbye
I’ll leave you with something
Something to forget me by
Is it possible to love someone to death?
I used to watch you while you slept
If I could sip you through my fingers
Like the scent that lingers on the shirt you left
Chorus
Bridge:
Look at me, baby
Oh please can’t you smile for me
Oh why such sad eyes
I can’t be all that bad
Can I?
Love…I do this all in love
So…
Chorus x3

Help create a Shadow Puppet Video for ellen cherry’s newest song Pickett’s Charge
ellen cherry (yup, it’s supposed to be lower-case!) has a pretty cool project going to create a shadow puppet video for one of the songs on her upcoming album, “Please Don’t Sell the Piano”. The contraption for the video is called a “crankie”, probably because you crank a big spool of paper with the background images on it from one side to the other, while the puppeteer uses puppets and lighting to create the story in real time. In other words, awesome!
You may remember ellen from our interview in September, click here to listen to the archive on KRUU (or download and listen later!)
If you want to support this fascinating and beautiful artistic collaboration, click the IndieGoGo button to watch ellen’s video explaining the project, and to donate as well as spread the word!
